My name is Cathy and I am a volunteer American political consultant, now living in retirement in sunny Southwest Florida on the Gulf of Mexico. I was born and raised in the then-Territory of Alaska and have lots of outrageous but true stories to share, and like to have fun, so expect to have fun. I was born and lived in Anchorage for 30 years, moved and lived in the notorious fishing village of Homer, Alaska (Tom Bodett - Motel 6, End of Road, Jewel Kilcher, Deadliest Catch) for thirteen glorious years, my dream come true. Where old hippies come to live and die.

My political career was built into my genes as I have always been interested in government, worked on many campaigns and fundraisers, then opened my fat mouth during the 1989 T/V Exxoff Valdez Oil Spill as Homer was the only populated area to be oiled (slightly), worked on the spill, ran for City Council, ran without campaigning and won to my surprise, and served a 3-year term on the local level. I found my opening and was appointed by President George Bush I to be the City of Homer Representative to CIRCAC of the newly passed Oil Spill Prevention Act of 1990 as a result of the Spill and was the first Vice Chair and first Chair of the Environmental Monitoring Committee. I slowly moved into political consulting, working on campaigns to build a natural gas pipeline from the North Slope to Valdez and for Sarah Palin's Governor's race (Google Scott Heyworth Sarah Palin Time Magazine for a little FUN). I came into RBE via Barb Craig and TZM to TVP to Money Free Party. I believe strongly in the ideals of Money Free governing and believe we are charged with the roots of this movement and setting a path to the future of a sustainable, equitable lifestyle for all humans on this planet. I have travelled extensively, seen the poverty of 3rd world countries (which everyone should see at some point at an early age) and it is wrong, wrong for some of us to be blessed and so many of us to be treated so badly over, um, money? resources? In any event, I will slowly be building a candidate's training program here with seminars, videos, one-on-one training, mock debates, and you may always pm me with any questions. I will always be available if you need help if you are thinking about running to help educate about RBE and perhaps think you might want to take it a bit further and try to win that first seat at the local level. I wish you all the best of luck and remember! Always ask for the vote!
